Our Visions & Beliefs

Our Mission Statement
To share the love of Christ, to grow in relationship with Christ and one another, and to serve God by serving others.

=============================
What We Believe

Our core beliefs center around the 7 ONES in Ephesians, chapter four. We believe in the one Triune God as expressed in the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe in God the Father, “who is over all and through all and in all.”

We believe in God the Son, who was sent on a mission by the Father to reconcile us to God. And, we confess that Jesus is our one (and only) Lord and Savior.

We believe in the one Spirit who creates one body of believers in the church universal and that He breathes into them a new kind of life.

We profess one faith – that we believe what Christ did on the cross was God’s plan and a demonstration of his grace which saves us.

We believe in the one baptism, administered by the one Spirit (1 Corinthians 12:13) into the one body of Christ. This baptism is elsewhere described as a birth “from above,” of water and the Spirit (John 3:5;  Titus 3:5). Baptism, like Holy Communion, keeps us centered on God’s saving actions in the cross; namely Christ’s death, burial and resurrection.

We  believe that we are “called” to a new life of imitation of our Savior and that as we stay in relationship with him we are gradually being shaped into His image (2 Corinthians 3:18). The one hope of our calling is expressed in Colossians 1:27 this way: “Christ in you, the hope of glory.”

As we take our core beliefs directly from Scripture (Ephesians 4:4-6), so we believe that all of the Bible is authoritative for life and is “useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that (we) may be thoroughly equipped for every good work” (2 Timothy 3:16-17).

We believe that we, like the early Christians, may differ with other believers on many things, but we see these core beliefs as crucial – since they are centered on the gospel of “Christ and Him crucified.
